1975 BELLANCA Viking BL17-30A NEW fabric 300 Hr IO-520 w/ 2850 TTSN ~NICE~
Available is a 1975
BELLANCA Model 17-30A N9523E S/N 75-30785 that sustained a hard landing and prop strike.
Aircraft was on approach landed hard, bounced and touched down again, causing
the wing main gear chrome struts to bow and the nose gear wheel to partially
separate. Damage is isolated to the
following: left and right main gear chrome tubes bowed/bent, nose gear wheel
attach tube broken, Prop strike and possible small wrinkle in the lower
firewall at attachment point.
Aircraft
is equipped with a 300HP IO-520-K, S/N 1000918 with only 300 hours since
factory reman on 9-29-2007. Last engine log book entry was on 11/04/2014 for
annual maintenance with compression #1-74, #2-74, #3-72, #4-76, #5-72, #6-74,
Total time
on airframe is 2850 hours. Please note that the Garmin panel (GNS530,
GNS250XL,GTX327, GMA340, GI106A and Stormscope is NOT included in the sale of
this aircraft. I will include all the Garmin trays as seen in photos but Radios
are NOT included (they were all recently sent to Garmin for update in 2012. The WX-500 Stormscope system is NOT included
and will be removed once aircraft has been purchased. Please note if buyer
would like to purchase these radios after the sale they will be available.
This is a
beautiful aircraft that had recently been completely recovered back in September
2012 costing about 30K. Fabric is in excellent condition and aircraft has
always been hangared, best part is that there is NO damage to any of the fabric
(other then the scratch seen at door in photos). Aircraft was professionally
disassembled for transport. Purchase includes everything seen in photos. Included
is the 3 Axis Century III Autopilot, Davtron digital timer, Electric Air Door
Seal, Spin on filter, oil separator. Includes all logs since new, several
folders of paperwork with maintenance and bill of sale. Last log entry was on
11/04/014 for annual inspection. This
aircraft has been loved over the years with regular maintenance.
Aircraft
was going to be repaired after incident however previous owner decided NOT to have
it repaired. I do NOT know the specifics or costs.
Damage is
as follows but is NOT limited to.
-Propeller
strike -Nose gear
wheel attachment broken
-Main gear
chrome tubes bent
-Wrinkle
in lower firewall at motor mount attachment point (I am not able to find it but
was told it does exist).
-Two small
scratches in fabric at door seen in photos
-Bottom
fiberglass cowling as two small cracks from improper handling.
Please
note that this will make an excellent project or donor, wings and fuselage are
in excellent shape. The wings alone on this aircraft are very desirable and are
worth 10K each. Normally we would part
this aircraft out but feel it would be a disservice as the damage is repairable
and the aircraft has had so much money invested in it over the years. Also, a set of gears for this aircraft are currently available on eBay... Don"t miss out on this opportunity. Current date: 2016-01-26
