You are bidding on a beautiful, meticulously maintained 1979 182RG. The 182RG cruises at 156 knots while burning 13 GPH. It will haul 1200 lbs of fuel and passengers 850 miles on a tank of fuel. The plane will take off and land in less than 1000 feet and climb 1100 fpm at gross weight.
Prior to our purchase of N35BH, it was owned and maintained by Lewis University, that has one of the premier aeronautical colleges in the United States. They were recently awarded "Outstanding All-around Collegiate Aviation Program" in the Nation. They owned 5 182RGs and are experts in the plane"s care and maintenance. That is certainly obvious upon inspection of this aircraft and it"s records.
Unfortunately, 35BH was involved in an inadvertent nose gear retraction last year. The light damage is confined to the lower cowl area, and should be a simple, straightforward repair. I have detailed photos of the damaged area, and will email them to anyone interested. Basically, the bottom of the right and left nose gear well, and right and left lower cheek cowls have been scraped. The gear has been retracted while the plane was on jacks. It was also retracted during the 3.5 hour ferry flight back to Tennessee. The plane flew as it should, and is ready to be flown to your location.
This project represents an opportunity to get in to a beautiful, low time, well equipped 182RG for tens of thousands of dollars below market price.
