Make: Cessna R182 Model Year: 1978
Very nice 182 RG.  All  ADs and repetitives up to date.  Crankshaft Replaced (no repetitive inspection req). Flies very straight and true.  Rigged and Maintained by Cessna Pilot Association certified Rigging Specialist. (who is also a long time R182 owner).  Very complete and thorough inspection and updates when I purchased the plane in 2011.  Everything mechanical has been checked and repaired/replaced as needed.  Flies faster than most 182RGs – 158kts  cruise at 6500ft , max weight, and 12GPH.  This is a nice handling, simple plane.  Gear down it’s just a 182.  Gear up it’s 20kts faster and more solid than the 182 fixed gear.  Nice IFR platform.  The current panel is older.  I installed a new Insight G4 engine analyzer with fuel flow and totalizer, oil temp, manifold pressure, voltage, oil pressure and temp, and of course, EGT, CHT, and OAT.  The plane has the STec 60 altitude hold installed (ready for the STec 50, see below), otherwise basic early Cessna radios, transponder, DME, audio panel, and ARC autopilot. The plane is due for a panel update.  I bought a PS Engineering 7000MS audio panel (stereo, w/marker beacon rx built in), King SL30 Nav/com/GS, Garmin 696 GPS, and STec 50 autopilot with altitude for the panel upgrade, but decided to sell without doing that work to let the buyer decide what to install.  Let’s talk if you want to include any of the items above. The Stec 50 uses the same wiring and servo as the STec 60 currently installed, making it an easy upgrade. Paint is good, shiny.  Interior is very good.  Carpet and door panels older Airtex, but seats are excellent, cream color leather with great cushioning (note, rear leather seat was not installed in these photos).  Full sheepskin on front seats.  Front seats are two-crank, fully adjustable (up/down and forward/recline). Fuel bladders were replaced a few years ago, and have no leaks or wrinkle issues.  The 1978 R182 has the heavy cast iron main gear actuator, which has not been subject to the cracking in the 1979+ R182 planes.  New hydraulic gear power pump in 2010.  Very reliable gear system. The 182RG is a great plane to fly.  Stable, forgiving, and simple systems.  Impressive load hauler.  It’s also a great candidate for you Commercial training/rating.  Annual 6/14 Compressions 78, 78,77,72,76,77/80 Mags, carb, airbox, baffle seals all rebuilt 2012. Have all logs and paperwork. #R18200171.  TTAF 1720.  TTE  1720.  TTSOH  320.  TTSPOH 70
