MIG-15UTI (SB-Lim2M), s/n 27003, Mfg. 1953 TTAF: 2000.0 flight hours (approximate) TTEng: 200.8 hours (Klimov VK-1A/Lis-2) -For Sale is a Mig-15bis manufactured in 1953 and converted to Mig-15UTI (UTMig-15) by AERO vodochody in 1961, for use as a trainer by the Polish Air Force. -In the early ’70 the aircraft was once again modified for use as a two-seat forward air-control/ reconnaissance asset and designated SB-Lim2A . -In February of 1989 the Mig was overhauled again and returned to the two-seat training role. Once again it was re-designated as an SB-Lim2M . The last flight in the PAF was on 20 January, 1992. -This is one of only two, two-seat Mig’s in the USA and has COMPLET DUAL CONTROLS (including “Emergency Brake Handles”) in the rear cockpit. -This aircraft was licensed by AEROCRAFTERS in 1998 and flown to Rockford, IL, by owners Bruce Etchell and Steve Penning. The engine was regularly run until 2010, but not flown, when the aircraft was put into storage. - This Lim2 is COMPLETE but not currently airworthy without an extensive inspection and/or further restoration. - SOLD “AS IS, WHERE IS”.
