This will be an auction for a MXL Sport with an electric start Rotax 447. The Sport is an evolution of the Sprint, with the addition of a double-surface wing. The standard engine is the 40 hp (30 kW) Rotax 447 which, combined with the double surface wing, gives a cruise speed of 45-50 mph. The MXL Sport offered in this auction is stock except for the electric start, recovery chute, after muffler, and oversize main wheels with brakes. The chute has an in date rocket but the chute is due for a repack. It has basic instrumentation including CHT, EGT, and Mini Tach gauges. The accessories were kept to the minimum to keep the weight down to retain the UL status. If the after muffler and the electric start are removed it is within the part 103 limits with the BRS chute installed. I am 235 lbs and 6’1” and I am very comfortable in the cockpit seating. The plane has no problem lifting my weight. The MXL is currently flying so the total hours will be changing currently about 15 hours are shown on the tach. It had no hour meter prior to my purchase so the total hours are not known. Judging from the airframe ware the hours are not high.
