Untitled Document N627, Serial #002 1962 Nardi Siai Marchetti FN-333 Amphibious Extremely Rare Historical Plane Out of an original production run of just 26 aircraft only a handful of these planes are in existence today. This aircraft is serial #002 - #001 was destroyed in 1964. The FN-333 Riviera was originally developed by the Nardi Company at Aeroporto Forlanini, Milan, Italy. This plane is the second prototype and it is a very unique design. It is similar to the famous Seabee and the Marchetti was known as the race car of sea planes in its day. The Riviera uses a high twin-boom tail arrangement. Also, the Riveria uses a tricycle landing gear, with the nose gear retracting into the nose and concealed behind two small nose gear doors. The Riviera is powered by a Continental 250 hp flat 6-cylinder engine mounted above the fuselage in a pusher arrangement. A three-bladed propeller was standard.
