A friend did all of the wood work. I altered the landing gear, made the engine mount, special gear box, obtained the prop and engine and covered the rudder. Nothing started on the wings. The craftmanship is absolutely outstanding. Been in storage since "83 with work done work off and on since. I am unable to finish or contract to finish even though it is a superb investment, posting for over $200K. I do have all of the plans and good will to get it done. It is the 75% MK14 if the wings are made accordingly. The engine is a small block 350 setup with reverse rotation so the prop runs conventional. The 2:l reduction gear box has a splined shaft for the Hartzell 3-blade but does not have prop oil although you can shim the blades for the desired pitch. On the test stand, the Hartzell prop shimmed 18 deg pitch at 70% pulled over 1000 lbs static thrust. The engine hasn"t run for 10 years and should be opened up to make sure it is okay. This engine was doing demo at Sun n Fun. The gear retraction works nice using an air cylinder and has scissors for better strength but it is only a mockup with fabricated links. With some design tinkering, the retraction could hold itself with only small air springs that are used. Or keep pressure in the system or have uplocks.
