1946 Ercoupe 415C Light Sport. Original Coupe with fabric wings and no rudder pedals. AP/IA owned. Aircraft was being prepared for annual inspection when I suffered an accident on October 12, 2018. I am no longer able to get in the aircraft, fly it, or work on it ,therefore it is now available for sale. The aircraft is un-airworthy right now because the upper cowling needs to be fitted and baffle seal needs to be installed. No other known defects. N2253H, S/N 2878, Tach 217, Acft TT 2999, Eng TT 2702, Eng SMOH 1. Aircraft records complete and impeccable. Cleaned, lubricated and inspected airframe IAW Univair service manual. Removed engine for overhaul, prop serviced and certified by Aircraft Accessories of Oklahoma. Replaced all scat tubing. Replaced brake pads and bled brakes. Installed new Brackett filter element BA 8805. Slick magnetos overhauled and certified by Kelly Aerospace and Maxwell’s Magnetos. Researched AD’s, Complied with AD 2017-16-01 by test & inspection, next due 12 months. Complied with AD 2002-26-02 by inspection, next due 3 years. Removed Delco 1109656 starter and installed Sky-Tec lightweight starter IAW STC SA10077SC. Oper. Ck OK. Wt/Bal/equip list revised, 10/10/2018. Continental C85-12F, Tach 217, Engine TT 2702. Engine removed and disassembled for overhaul IAW Continental Overhaul manuals and directives. All internal parts cleaned and inspected. Case repaired, inspected overhauled and certified by Crankcase Services of Sand Springs OK. All cylinders OHC By Brown Aviation of Tulsa OK Magnetos overhauled and certified by Kelly Aerospace and Maxwell’s Magnetos. Crankshaft, camshaft, connecting rods, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, cam followers, lifters, crankshaft and camshaft gears overhauled and certified by Aircraft Speciality Service of Tulsa OK. Installed new piston pins/plugs, crankshaft bearings & thrust washers, all hardware, gaskets, seals and arbitrary replacement items. Reassembled engine with new Sky-Tec starter and REAL rocker box seals and pushrod tube modifications IAW STC SE00533SE. Installed new Champion 48108 oil filter and 4 ½ qts. Shell straight mineral oil. Complied with AD 81-07-06 by inspection. Engine re-installed on N2253H, Ran engine, check for leaks, temperatures, pressures OK. Below is excerpt from 2016 annual showing extensive restoration: 7/1/2016, N2253H, S/N 2878, Tach 214.5, Acft TT 2995.5. Aircraft cleaned and inspected IAW Ercoupe 100 Hr. Inspection checklist. Excessive play in rudder hinges. Replaced all hinges with serviceable ones from Skyport Services. Replaced bushings in rudder bell crank, replaced worn hardware in rudder and elevator control systems, adjusted tension on rudder and elevator cables, replaced trim control cable, replaced seatback center bulkhead and repaired several small cracks in seatback frame. Removed “CB” type antenna at station 58 and installed proper ELT antenna . Removed inoperative EBC 102 ELT and installed new Ameri-King AK450 ELT at station 37. Batteries expire 6/2024. Installed Universal Corp flight strobe model 4400 at station 81 in existing hole in lower fuselage. Cleaned battery box and surrounding area of acid corrosion and treated with Corrosion X. Installed new Concorde RG-35AXC Battery. Removed and discarded heavy carpet, seat covering, and side panels. Replaced with aircraft quality leather and lightweight material from Cessna Aircraft. Removed and discarded inoperative King KX-125 Navcom and installed new Garmin GTR 200 Comm radio. Installed Garmin GDL 39 ADS-B receiver at station 16 and interconnected with Garmin GPSMAP 696 to provide free weather and traffic information. Removed and discarded homemade wooden box in instrument panel and replaced with Air Gizmos Panel Dock. Installed Skyport Services SMK-41 generator light kit at station 16. Installed GT50 digital clock/OAT/voltmeter at station 16. Installed new PAI-700 Vertical Compass at station 16. Installed 4 cyl CHT and selector switch at station 16. Replaced header tank fuel gauge. Installed EAA Auto Fuel STC and flight manual supplement included in flight manual. Researched AD’s. Complied with AD 2003-21-01 by inspection. Sale includes aircraft cover, 2 nearly new Bose Bluetooth Aviation headsets ($2000 value), Garmin GPSMAP 696 GPS receiver with XM, and Mygoflight flexible panel mount system for iPad (view at any height and angle) The aircraft is sold “as is”, “where is” condition with no warranty given or implied.
