1958 Beechcraft Bonanza J35
**FRESH ANNUAL JUST COMPLETED January 2016**
Located in Ozark, AR, 7M5. All AD"s are complied with and plane is 100% ready to go.
This is your one and only chance of a lifetime to set the price on a no reserve Bonanza. The J-35 uses the later model Continental IO-470 250 hp fuel injected engine rather than the far inferior E-185 and E-225 of the earlier Bonanzas. Unless you have a ton of extra money laying around for maintenance and want to work on a plane all the time, I"d stay away from an E-series Bonanza. These planes are extremely fast and fuel efficient without the higher fuel burn of the IO-520 powered bonanzas due to their light weight.
I flew recently flew over 100 miles and was amazed at it"s performance. It pulled harder on takeoff than my personal Bonanza with a 520 in it and easily climbed out at 1500+ fpm. The ride was smooth and comfortable at 150 mph at less than 9 gallons per hour.
Previously owned by a doctor for the last 16 years. It is a very smooth running plane that is extremely fast and fuel efficient. This would be the perfect high performance/complex transition aircraft for someone at a bargain price. There"s some old damage history about 25 years ago where it was landed gear up but that has all been long ago repaired and plane has been flying for 25 years after that.
**Available for additional cost is a Dual Yoke**
AIRFRAME ONLY 2616 hours TTAF. Paint is in above average condition with some chipping on the leading edges but good shine on the rest of it. It"s not bad enough to necessitate a repaint. It would be cheap and easy to just have the leading edges spot painted and it would be a solid 7/10. Windshield upgraded to one piece sloped. Glass is clear and shows that this plane has been hangar kept and well cared for. All control surfaces are in very good condition with no debonding, corrosion or hail dings. Aux fuel tanks are installed, giving you 20 gallon mains and 10 gallon auxiliary in each wing for a total of 60 gallons. Or, just fill the mains and save weight for local flying. New tires were installed at annual and gear was completely re-rigged and adjusted with tensions set to Beechcraft standards.
ENGINE ONLY 704 hours since major overhaul. This means you can fly the plane for a very, VERY long time before even thinking about an overhaul. Engine runs extremely well and is remarkably clean with no noticeable oil consumption. An aftermarket spin on oil filter extends the oil change intervals and life of the engine. Both magnetos have just been rebuilt and plugs replaced, saving the next owner over $2000 in repairs.
PROP
Newer 2 bladed hydraulic prop installed with only 89 hours on it.
AVIONICS Collins 720 channel digital nav/com flip/flop radios, Collins manual backup radio, Narco transponder. There"s more static in the radio than I like but I expect it just needs the contacts cleaned or has a bad ground wire as 90% of the time this is the problem. No intercom installed - previous owner had a portable intercom that he kept when he sold the plane. These are available for about $100 though.
INTERIOR
Interior is in extremely good condition with almost new carpet, nice cloth seats, shoulder harnesses for all 4 seats, clear glass and one-piece windshield. *spot on passenger seat shown in pictures was from a leaking water bottle and has since dried. **Dual Yoke available for additional $$$.
This is a steal for a late model Bonanza with the IO-470C 250hp fuel injected engine. It"s hard to buy one of the E-series engine powered bonanzas for this price and you"ll kick yourself if you buy an E-series plane as you"ll spend more time working on it than you do flying it.
Delivery possible. We have several pilots who would jump at the opportunity to fly this awesome aircraft. Delivery cost is normally Fuel, Oil, Hotels (if required), return airfare and $250/day pilot fee.
If you are even considering another plane with higher time engine, make sure to budget for a $35,000 engine overhaul in the near future. With only a little over 700 hours, you can fly this one for a very long time before even thinking about overhaul.
$2000 deposit due through PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days. Wire transfer preferred for balance payment. If paying by check, cashier"s included, please allow time for check to clear. Aircraft will not be released until payment clears. **If you pay the full amount due within 48 hours, I will fill the main fuel tanks for free. 40 gallons of fuel at $3.86/gallon saves you over $150!
