I have owned this airplane for the last 10 years. This has been a great time builder for me. I have all the original documents, log books and receipts since it was new, which will be provided to the new owner upon completion of the sale.
She flys great. NOT the latest & greatest electronics but it is "old school" flying that is REALLY cheap. 6-7 GPH! She is out of annual since 5/2015. Battery was removed more than a year ago, and she has been tied down outside at Flagler County Airport (KFIN) for the last 7 years. (Tie down payments are current). She has not been started since the last annual and was not flown except for 1 hour since previous annual.
She has recently had a good wash with a sprayer and there were some small spots where the paint has come off. The paint is in "pretty good" condition. I would grade it a 5 out of 10. The interior is in "pretty good" shape, again 5 out of a 10. The condition is shown in the pictures. There is some surface corrosion on the trailing edges and a few other spots - all slight surface issues. At Every annual for the last 10 years that I have owned her, she has been treated inside the wings and fuselage with LPS spray. There are a few spot paint touch ups that were fixed the last time that do not exactly match the white.
She is certainly NOT in perfect shape but for the money, this is a pretty good deal, it would be a great time builder. It has about 200 or 300 hours left on the bottom end, and the top end was completely re-done under 100 hours ago (5 or 6 years ago). I have never really flown it a lot, but when I did, it was a real pleasure. She flys and lands like a dream. NEVER had a hard landing where I bent or broke anything.
This plane will need some work for you to fly it out of the airport. It will need a battery and an annual to be airworthy. I will complete a FAA Bill of Sale when I give you the keys. I will assist where I can, but the mechanic and the annual are your responsibility. There is a mechanic on the field, however I have never used him. (reason she is out of annual) My regular mechanic retired and I haven"t flown since. it is a small 50 year old trainer. It is what it is, that is why I am willing to sell it at auction. I am realistic about this airplane. If it had a current annual, and was currently flying, the reserve would be higher around $13,500. BUT, it is in need of an annual and a battery to make it fly. That is why the price is so low.
