Well....no problem here! For sale is my 150 acre FAA certified airport, (4D1) Three Castles Airpark located 1 mile from the town of Wonewoc Wisconsin. Were the heck is Wonewoc?? 50 miles NW of Madison WI, 2 hour car ride from Milwaukee WI and a 3.5 hr. drive from the Chicago area. The property is 30 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells, the worlds largest water park area with tons of restaurants, shopping and water parks! Running through the west end of the 150 acre airport is the Baraboo River and the trail 300, a 27 mile bike path that travels through several towns. Great for walking, bike riding, horse back riding and snowmobiling! This wooded property is also great for hunting!
The turf runway is 2890 ft. long X 75 feet wide. It is smooth, east/west and has good approaches. The runway is expandable another 500 feet to the east with some leveling. There is a 200X200 ft. asphalt ramp with a 50X200 ft. asphalt taxiway. There are four hangars. Two are 40X40 and are for storage. One is wood frame construction measuring 60X80 with a 900 sq. ft. office. Heated and insulated and has sliding doors that. separate the front and rear of the hangar. The other hangar measures 70X55, steel construction, heated and insulated with a 10X20 workshop. The hangar door is a 55 foot bi-fold.
There is no zoning in the town of Wonewoc. This means you can operate any aircraft or automobile related business such as; aircraft sales, maintenance, paint shop or aircraft salvage. The other option is to create a airpark and sell lots to build homes or business. There is almost 2000 feet of highway frontage along State Highway 33 that runs east/west along the north end of the property. Old School Rd. runs along the south side of the property and has access to the property. Currently the property has 3 acre building requirements. The property can be re-zoned to 1/2 acre building sites.
The property is beautiful in the spring/fall and summer months. Winter is kind of chilly! I plow the runway most of the winter and a Ford F-350 plow truck is included along with a Ford 4000 tractor with a 6 foot bush hog to mow the runway.
I am looking to retire from the aircraft sales business, and would consider selling all my equipment as part of the sale of the property. I also have several project aircraft that will be sold.
