1946 J3 CUB WITH C-85. FROM WHAT I AM TOLD THIS PLANE HAS HAD THE "STROKER" MOD, (0-200 CRANK AMONG OTHER THINGS) AND IS SUPPOSE TO BE 100HP. I AM NOT A CUB EXPERT, HOWEVER, I DID RETAIN AN EXPERT OPINION AND THAT IS WHAT I AM TOLD IT HAS. (PREVIOUS OWNER TOLD ME THIS AS WELL) THIS CUB DOES NOT PERFORM LIKE YOUR GRANDDADDY"S CUB! MUCH BETTER! HAS THE OVERSIZE TIRES, ALASKAN BUSHWHEEL TAILWHEEL. UNIVAIR STC WITH UPGRADED LARGER AXLES, HEAVY DUTY LANDING GEAR, HEAVY DUTY BRAKE ASSEMBLIES, AND NEW BUNGEES, ALL INSTALLED IN OCTOBER OF 2015! NEW MILLENIUM CYLINDERS WITH LESS THAN 20HRS! BOTTOM HAS 1500HRS ON IT SMOH HOWEVER, RUNS LIKE A SEWING MACHINE. EXCELLENT OIL PRESSURE SMOOTH AND QUIET (TIME WILL GO UP, WE FLY IT WEEKLY). SENSENICH PROP INSTALLED NEW IN 2013. ALSO HAS NEW SLICK MAGS, PLUGS AND HARNESS INSTALLED IN OCTOBER 2015.

THIS PLANE MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF LIGHT SPORT FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND.

IN 1984 PLANES WAS REFURBISHED WITH NEW FABRIC (STITS POLY FIBER) ALL NEW STAINLESS CONTROL CABLES, TAIL BRACE WIRES, NEW STRUTS, ALL NEW GLASS, NEW RUDDER ARM AND PINS, NEW COWLING. PLANE HAS BEEN STORED INDOORS EVER SINCE. FABRIC IS IN GOOD SHAPE. THIS IS NOT AN OSHKOSH BEST OF SHOW WINNER, BUT IT IS A VERY NICE CUB THAT DOES NOT NEED A THING BUT A NEW OWNER! IT HAD SOME HANGAR RASH ON THE LEFT WING THAT HAS BEEN REPAIRED, I TOOK PICS. WE FLEW THIS PLANE OVER 5 HOURS TO GET IT HOME LAST MONTH, IT BURNS 4.5 GALLONS AN HOUR AT A 65KT CRUISE, 2200RPM. BY THE WAY, I AM 6"2", 250LBS, WHEN I FLEW IT HOME A FRIEND RODE WITH ME WHO IS ALSO 6" 250LBS, 2 FAT BOYS IN A J3 BUT IT HANDLED US JUST FINE FROM ALABAMA TO UPSTATE SC A MONTH AGO.
WE WILL ALSO INCLUDE 4 SERVICEABLE CYLINDERS THAT CAME OFF THE PLANE, A SPARE ORIGINAL SET OF LANDING GEAR. 6 SPARE ORIGINAL TIRES, WHEELS AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY, A SPARE COWLING (ORIGINAL, A LITTLE BEAT UP BUT RESTORABLE/SERVICEABLE), A SPARE SET OF ORIGINAL MAGS, AND AN ASSORTMENT OF OTHER PARTS. THERE IS PROBABLY $2,000 WORTH OF PARTS THAT WILL COME WITH IT. IT IS ENTIRELY TOO MUCH STUFF TO PUT IN THE PLANE OF COURSE, YOU WILL NEED TO ARRANGE FOR SHIPPING IT I WILL HELP WITH LOADING/PACKAGING IF NEED BE. I PUT IT IN THE BED OF A FULL SIZE SHORT BED PICKUP AND IT ALL DID FIT WITH SOME ENGINEERING.
