Make: Questair Venture Model Year: 2011
Okay guys, I built the Venture over 20 years, been flying it for 5 years now, about 400 hours on the air-frame. 850 hours on the IO-550N engine (just installed last week) --- today, February 20th, on landing, I got a shimmy in my nose and it went down. I had over serviced the strut, and the nose wheel bearings were too tight. Never had gear problems before, fixed gear conversion. Cruise 220K at 12.2 GPH, can indicate over 240K on a cool day, climb to 10,000 in less than 4 minutes. Sudden stoppage of the engine, broken prop hub, curled blades, nose gear separated, some sheet metal work. Firewall aft in superb shape. Radios-- Garmin 430 (non WAAS), Garmin 327 transponder, w encoding altimeter, KY196A comm, KMA-20 audio panel, Collins PN-101 system (HSI) coupled Trio Avionics autopilot electric attitude indicator, yaw damper, co-pilot instrumentation, one latch carbon fiber canopy frame--- throttle quadrant, lots and lots of extras. Airplane is being sold where is as is-- Valkaria airport X59, Light Speed Engineering"s electronic ignition on right side--- Canopy cover, many extras--
