Fresh out of annual this 1946 415C is ready for a new home. It"s loaded with mods, nice details and an eye catcher. It"s 85HP engine has a spin on oil filter, light weight starter, alternator, slick mags, and the nose tank has been removed so no leaking gas into the cabin as some do, and more room for radios and instruments. An electric fuel pump is added for take off and landings to insure fuel pressure should the engine pump fail, much like the Piper Cherokee, and it has 18 gallons of fuel giving you three hours of flying time with a reserve. The full panel instruments also have post lighting, and the KX-155 and King Transponder round out a nice panel with a push to talk on both yokes and the intercom set for both sides. There are wing tip and tail strobes, Cleveland wheels and brakes, duel nose fork and the list goes on and on of extras. The duel wing and wheel taxi and landing lights are just another plus for this airplane, the previous owner had it for over 30 years, always hangar-ed and well maintained, the logs go back to day one. The original owner when purchased new was the Publisher of Trade A Plane, the ELT battery was replaced during the annual and the wings have no corrosion (obvisoulty or it would have never passed an annual) so, it"s here in the Midwest (Wisconsin) ready to go and it can be delivered for a fee, trailer-ed or flown, and there is a 8X20 foot trailer flatbed available for sale if you would like to trailer it back to your location. I have lots of pictures, so if you need more just ask. It has a Loran and a cassette tape player as well, but those are out dated and you may want to remove them, the seat was just re-foamed, and the interior looks very nice. The Tinted wind screen and overhead canopy keeps the sun at bay, and it"s just a nice all around airplane. Lots of working gauges you wouldn"t expect in an Ercoupe like carb temperature, fuel pressure and a host of other instruments like a VOR with Glide slope. For an older airplane it sure doesn"t look old. The Yoke Mounted GPS goes with it making navigation a breeze. It doesn"t have the ADS-B if your going to fly into mode C airspace, you"d have to have that added. All most all 415C Ercoupes fall under the LSA grouping, so if I were to keep it, I"d remover the Loran and cassette player and do a current weight and balance and know for sure if it"s an LSA, the previous owner said it was, but I"d want a current weight and balance done. So there you have it, a really nice Ercoupe and its ready to go!
